Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms govern your use of BookletMaker (also listed as PDF Imposer: Booklet Maker) — the Mac, iPad and iPhone apps, the Windows app, the Android app, the web tool at bookletmaker.app/tool, the imposition API, and this website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who we are
The Service is operated by Mobile Alchemy Ltd. (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].
The Service
BookletMaker turns PDFs into print-ready booklets and related layouts. Document processing happens on your device — in the apps and in the web tool, your PDFs are never uploaded to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the apps and to use the web tool for your own purposes, including commercial printing of your own documents. Everything the Service produces from your documents is yours. You may not reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service itself, except where law expressly permits.
BookletMaker Pro, billing and payment
Core booklet features are free. BookletMaker Pro is a paid upgrade sold as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Purchases inside the Mac, iPad and iPhone apps are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple’s Media Services terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store account settings.
- Purchases on this website (used by the Windows and Android apps and the web tool) are processed by Paddle.com as merchant of record. Paddle handles payment, applicable taxes, receipts and billing support, and Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to the payment itself. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email, and access continues until the end of the paid period.
Prices are shown before purchase; local currency and tax are shown at checkout. If we change prices, changes apply from your next renewal, never retroactively. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
Registration codes
A Pro purchase issues a registration code (licence key) in the form
BM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. One code is for one customer and may be used on the
devices you personally use — Mac, iPad, iPhone, Windows, Android, and the web tool. Do not publish,
share, sell, or otherwise distribute codes. We may deactivate codes that are refunded,
charged back, or abused (for example, shared publicly), and we may reissue a code to its
legitimate owner on request.
Early purchasers
If you bought the app before version 2.0, all features remain unlocked on Apple platforms at no additional charge, for as long as the app is available.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or interfere with the Service — including probing or overloading the API beyond your quota, or attempting to bypass licensing checks. You are responsible for having the rights to the documents you process.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and improving, but it is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or retire features. If we discontinue a paid capability you have an active subscription for, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Always check a proof before committing a large print run — paper is unforgiving and we cannot warrant that output will match every printer’s behaviour.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or printing costs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms; where the breach is remediable we will tell you first. Sections that by their nature should survive (licences to your own output, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance. The date at the top always tells you when they last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mobile Alchemy Ltd. is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction. Where consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you mandatory rights, nothing in these terms limits them. For purchases processed by Paddle, Paddle’s buyer terms govern the payment relationship with Paddle.
